Chapter 2

Dai groaned, rolling over blurry eyed at the cheerfully ringing phone next to his bed. It was far too early to be awake, especially when he had spent the night with an exceptionally beautiful man that had made for a night loose all track of his senses. The only person that would have the audacity to call him this early in the morning was his ever curious sister. Ayako had to have seen him leave with Jin and more than likely wanted to know if he was sleeping alone. Looking briefly over at the clock that barely read six in the morning he cheerfully decided he was going to kill his own sister.

"Hello, Ayako, how about you come over and make it easier for me to kill you?" Dai growled, answering his phone as he rolled over on to his back, his white sheets tangling around his body.

"Really? Great, I was calling to ask if I could come over and play," came a suspiciously familiar male voice that definitely wasn’t his sister’s.

"Jin?" Dai asked in surprise.

"Of course, you said to call you soon. What are you doing today?" Jin asked cheerfully.

"Don’t you sleep?" Dai retorted, disconcerted.

"Nah, why waste time sleeping. So how about it?"

"How about what?" Dai asked, still trying to adjust to the fact he wasn’t completely awake and was taken off guard by Jin’s call.

"You really aren’t a morning person are you?" Jin asked with humor in his teasing voice making Dai smile. "Want to go do something with me today?"

"Sure," Dai replied, unable to resist the voice of the man on the other side of the phone.

"Great, see you in a few minutes."

"Wait..." Dai started only to realize the man had already hung up the phone.

Cursing Dai untangled himself from his sheets and grabbed his spectacles off the night table as he got up. Feeling in need of a shower, he had barely got out when he heard his door ringing. Shaking his head he wrapped a towel around his waist and went to let Jin in, wondering if it had been such a good idea to agree to the impromptu date. The man was undoubtedly attractive and fun to be with, but he was a guy. Having fully waken up from his shower he was beginning to wonder about whether he really wanted to pursue a relationship with someone of the same sex. Still, there wasn’t much he could do about it now that he had agreed and he decided to let things play out, seeing how things went before making up his mind.

"Um… nice, but a little under dressed. Is this a hint?" Jin asked, a mischievous grin coming to his face when Dai answered the door in nothing but a towel.

"No, it’s called give a person a little warning before planning to take them out. I was asleep less than fifteen minutes ago." Dai retorted dryly, gesturing for the man to come in.

"Nice place, you must do pretty good as a writer," Jin guessed as he looked around the spacious apartment that was uncluttered with simple, tasteful furniture and renaissance art on the plain white walls.

"Yes, although I do a lot of investing which helps," Dai answered.

"Investing… you sound like my father. How old are you?" Jin asked, walking into the living room.

"Twenty-one, but I graduated from college at sixteen majoring in economics," Dai answered, heading to his room as Jin started to follow.

"Business? Then why are you a writer?" Jin asked as he leaned against the doorway.

"Because I like doing it more. College was for my parents, writing is for me," Dai answered, pulling out some clothes and pointedly looking at Jin.

"We’re both guys," Jin said innocently, his eyes staring at Dai intensely.

"Of course, but I think that is beside the point. Now out," Dai answered firmly.

"Spoil sport."

Dai laughed as Jin left the room, closing the door behind him. There was definitely something about Jin that was appealing. Shaking his head Dai quickly slid into a pair of jeans and a light weight red shirt, dismissing the thoughts for the time being. He found Jin out on the balcony sitting on the ledge with his eyes closed. Dai stared at the look of pure bliss on the man’s face, once again struck by the almost pretty features. Although now in the bright morning sunlight there was no way that Dai could deny that Jin was a man. His sinewy arms and lean hips along with the flat and smooth chest was completely masculine, yet Dai couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to see the man undressed. Even stranger was the unexpected flutter in his heart and loins at the thought.

"Mesmerized by my beauty?" Jin asked teasingly, his eyes still closed and his face turn up to the bright sunlight

"Yes," Dai answered truthfully with a smile.

"Good, that is the way it should be. Come on, lets go," Jin said, his eyes snapping open as he jumped off the balcony.

"Oh? Where to?" Dai asked curiously as Jin walked past him.

"You’ll see," Jin said with a cheerful smile.

Once again on the sleek black bike Dai found himself clutching the man’s waist tightly as he sped down the streets. He found he enjoyed the closeness of Jin’s lean body as he inhaled the man’s scent that surprisingly wasn’t mixed with any cologne that Dai could detect. Yawning he caught himself before he leaned completely against Jin’s back, wondering what had come over him. Unexpectedly he was totally relaxed with Jin despite the fact he hardly knew the man. It wasn’t long before the cityscape gave way to mountains as Jin continued on. Curious, Dai wondered where they could possibly be going especially so early in the morning, yet the whistling wind left conversation at a minimum.

After an hour Dai was surprised when Jin pulled off the side of the road and parked in the middle of no where. Dai looked around at the forest that surrounded him, confused as Jin turned and unexpectedly kissed him. Although it didn’t last long a spark of lust caught Dai completely off guard as he looked at Jin in shock, trying to gather his now scattered wits.

"Well, let’s go," Jin said with a knowing grin.

"Go? Go where? We are in the middle of no where."

"Uh-uh, look there," Jin pointed to a narrow path before he removed a camera from a small compartment on the back of the bike.

"Hiking?" Dai asked, surprised.

"Come on, I promise it will be worth it," Jin encouraged, grabbing Dai’s arm and pulling him toward the narrow almost non-existent path.

Caught up in Jin’s excitement, Dai smiled and let the man pull him along. It was the last thing he expected to be doing and something he had rarely done before. Jin took the lead on the narrow path guiding them confidently through the forest as if he had done it countless times before.

"Do you do this often?" Dai asked, curious.

"Sometimes. I have to admit I picked this to show off a little, since you’re more of a challenge than most of the people I date," Jin said wryly, pushing back a low hanging branch.

"I’m a challenge huh? Because I didn’t sleep with you last night?" Dai grinned.

"Yeah, most are so awe-struck by my beauty that I can tumble them into bed with a smile," Jin laughed.

"You’re stunning but it takes more than a pretty face to get me into bed."

"Yep, so on to plan number two and dazzle you with my profession," Jin looked back, holding up his camera.

"You’re a photographer? What for? National geographic?" Dai asked glancing at the trees around him as Jin stopped and laughed.

"Nope, close though. I’m a fashion photographer; pretty models and actresses."

"Yeah, lots of idols running around the woods."

"No way am I taking you to one of my shoots to impress you. You’d end up running away with my model and I’d be left alone. Straight guys and beautiful woman are dangerous combination when I’m trying to seduce you."

Dai laughed and shook his head at the man’s audacity. It was apparent that Jin didn’t have any self-image problems. His ego was definitely in great shape although Dai could see why. He was a little surprised that the man was a photographer and had to wonder if he was a popular one. He still wasn’t quite sure what hiking out in the woods and fashion photography had in common and was intrigued.

"Come on, let’s go. I can see you wondering what my job and this forest have in common," Jin urged as he foraged ahead.

It didn’t take long for them to break free of the woods to a small gentle waterfall that cascaded down a short cliff into a crystal clear pool of light blue water. It was startlingly beautiful with large thick trees surrounding the area and the cliff made of an almost pure white stone. Dai stared in amazement at the place that he had only seen in pictures. It wasn’t until he heard the clicking of a camera did he realize Jin was still there. He looked at the man, surprised to see the camera not pointed at the beautiful scenery but him.

"Jin, not me," Dai protested, holding up his hands.

"Why not? It will turn out to be an amazing picture, I have a feel for these sort of things," Jin smiled and came over to wrap an arm around Dai’s waist. "So what do you think? I can’t make a living off these sorts of pictures but it’s the real reason I got into photography. Capturing places like this, keeping them with me and sharing them with people who are unable to get here..." Jin stopped and shook his head, smiling.

"You surprise me," Dai said, draping an arm over Jin’s shoulder.

"Oh?"

"There really is more to you than a pretty face. I would have thought snapping pictures of pretty empty headed idols would be the ultimate job for you. But to admit these thing appeals to you more...," Dai stopped.

"Well go on," Jin said, poking Dai in the ribs.

"You’re not a shallow, arrogant, sex manic after all," Dai finished with a grin, leaving his true thoughts unsaid as Jin carefully placed his camera down and sprang up. grabbing Dai and wrestling with him playfully.

"Take that back, I am a shallow sex manic!" Jin growled with a grin, trying to pin Dai’s arms.

Dai laughed, pulling one of his arms free to push at the man and try to get Jin off of him. Before he realized it he was wrestling with the man in the soft ground perilously close to the pool of water. Ignoring the dangers he continued to try to get the upper hand on the surprisingly strong man until the inevitable happen and they both landed in the clear waters of the pool with a great splash.

Dai emerge from the water sputtering and saw Jin laughing as he undid the buttons of his shirt, throwing it onto the bank followed by his pants and underwear. Dai watched nervously, suddenly realizing he was completely alone with a naked guy who had more than a little interested in his body.

"Don’t worry, I’m not going to attack you, at least not yet," Jin teased before diving under the water and swimming out into the pool and away from Dai.

Dai watched the man swim, playfully splashing like a kid and found himself totally drawn to Jin’s playfulness. Forgetting about his worries he quickly stripped off his shirt and pants leaving his briefs on and swam out to the man, dunking him in the water with his dignity forgotten and playing like a kid. They horsed around in the water until Jin finally admitted defeat to Dai in the water games.

Dai emerged from the water and turned to find that Jin hadn’t followed him and had instead swum out to a small ledge under the cascading waterfall. He watched as the man levered himself up onto the ledge and stood under the water enjoying the spray. He knew Jin was showing off for him and smiled softly, surprised to find he enjoyed the show. Now out of the water every feature of the man’s superb body was visible and strangely erotic. As he watched water run down the lithe body that was bathed in sunlight Dai realize that despite the fact Jin was a definitely a man he was unable to deny the fact that he was interested in him as more than a simple friend.

Turning away from the man he closed his eyes for a moment and decided that it really didn’t matter whether Jin was his type of not, he wanted to find out where this strange new attraction would lead him. Turning around he once again looked at Jin intently as he decided that he wanted to try to slowly fall in love with this unique man.

"Dai, where are we going?"

"You’ll see," Dai answered cryptically, looking rather smug.

"I know I said I wanted to sky dive but I don’t think you can do that from the top floor, even if this is the tallest building in the city," Jin said, fishing for some information.

"We are not sky diving, idiot. Only you would think of something like that," Dai said, rolling his eyes as the elevator climbed higher and higher.

"Then what? Isn’t this your family’s building? Don’t tell me you are taking me to meet your father," Jin asked, not relishing the thought of meeting any of Dai’s older relatives and what it would imply between the two of them.

"Not, definitely not. You haven’t even meet Ayako yet, although I’m not going to be able to put that off much longer," Dai answered, shaking his head with a sigh.

"You don’t want me to meet your sister?" Jin asked with curiosity since she was one of the few of Dai’s family he was interested in. To beat Cho at his own game she had to be a remarkable woman.

"Of course not! Combine you two together and the havoc you two could wreck could destroy the city," Dai laughed, leaning back against the elevator wall and looking at the ceiling.

Jin laughed knowing that he had to get Dai to introduce them soon. She seemed like a person that he really could get along with and maybe she would help him tip her brother into his bed, since he didn’t seem to be having any luck.

The elevator opened and Dai led them to a large spacious room that looked like an executives boardroom. Jin jumped onto the enormous oblong table, looking around curiously. He had no clue about what Dai had come up for them to do but his curiosity was running high. He watched as Dai walked over to him and pushed his way in between Jin’s legs, pulling him to the edge of the table and leaning into kiss him.

Jin felt his heart beat faster as he instinctively wrapped his legs around Dai’s waist, locking the man in place so he couldn’t escape. He felt Dai’s large hands run down his spine as his tongue deftly moved against his lips. Jin sighed in pleasure, leaning into Dai’s warm embrace and enjoying the gentle languid kiss. When Dai pulled away Jin groaned in protest, locking his firm legs to make sure that man couldn’t escape from him.

"You’re going have to let go of me or you won’t get your present," Dai said lightly, a small smile curving his lips.

"I already know what present I want," Jin replied suggestively, his hand running down Dai’s chest.

Dai laughed, leaning down to kiss him lightly as his hands moved down Jin’s thighs, causing his legs to loose some of their strength in surprise as a spark of lust surged through him. Dai used the moment to pull away from him with a smirk. It was completely unfair the way the man was able to invoke such a powerful reaction from him with a simple touch. He never used to be so easily aroused but lately all Dai had to do was look at him and Jin found himself almost panting in desire. Of course that could be because he had been celibate since meeting Dai, something he hadn’t experience since he was sixteen.

It wasn’t as if Dai had said a word about him seeing or, more importantly, sleeping with other people but Jin knew that for the serious man that it was understood. Dai was almost an entirely different creature than he was and for him there was nobody else than Jin. He was completely faithful to Jin despite the fact that he had been working nonstop, often having to cancel dates with Dai to fit in another shoot. He was in demand right now and knew that you didn’t turn away potential clients when you were hot. Popularity was fleeting and if he wasn’t careful someone else would take his place. So he took the jobs and apologized to Dai who just smiled and brought him home cooked meals as he worked late into the nights and even occasionally snuck into his shoot to silently watch him work, never interfering yet a constant encouraging presence.

As much as his body was making its need known he always found a way to talk himself out of hunting up a bed partner with the help of Dai’s face before his mind’s eye. He knew Dai wouldn’t take him sleeping with another lightly, even if it meant nothing to Jin other than the relief of his body’s demands, so Jin remained celibate and more than a little frustrated.

"Dai!"

Dai chuckled as a knock came at the half open door. Jin looked up suspiciously and felt his jaw drop. In the doorway was Misa Aso one of the hottest idols in the industry. She was one of the few people he was dying to work with, yet getting the opportunity was next to impossible, especially for someone that was relatively young and new even if he was becoming a popular photographer.

"Misa, thanks for coming," Dai said, walking towards the blonde statuesque beauty as Jin stared, still trying to register what he was seeing.

"You should, I’m going to have hell to pay with my manager for sneaking away. Remember your promise," Misa smiled, taking the sting out of her words.

"Of course, Ayako already has it for you," Dai answered. "I’ll leave you two alone, I hope everything goes well."

"I have no doubt about it, after all you have impeccable taste," Misa nodded as Jin watched Dai slip out of the door.

"What...?"

"Dai asked me to come here and meet you. Well actually his sister Ayako did. They said you are dying to work with me and I have a photo book that is coming up in a few months. We haven’t selected a photographer and Dai suggested you. I’ve already seen your portfolio but I wanted to meet you first. I’m going to be facing some opposition if I want you so I want to be sure your worth it," Misa smiled, walking forward and surprising Jin by sitting next to him on the table, ignoring the chairs.

Jin was only half aware of the conversation, too stunned by Dai’s present to focus on the conversation. He was amazed that Dai even knew someone so popular, let alone was able to get her to come here to meet him however informally. He had only mentioned in passing how much he wanted to work with Misa Aso and now Dai had brought the desire at least a little bit closer to him. Yet with his schedule so packed this would mean it would be even harder for the two of them to spend any time together. He’d already had to cancel on Dai twice in the last two weeks.

Suddenly Misa laughed, breaking into his ideas for a photo book holding up her hands.

"Enough, if nothing else you sure are passionate. But Dai is right, you are the perfect choice, you’re a new an upcoming photographer but that does have its advantages. I’ll see what I can do," Misa said, jumping down and holding out her hand to Jin.

Jin took the soft hand in his own grinning and glad that he was able to charm the woman so easily even though his mind had been elsewhere.

"Can I ask you something personal?"

"Sure, although I can’t guarantee an answer?" Jin teased, having a good idea what her question would be.

"Are you really dating Dai?" Misa asked wistfully as a surge of jealousy ran through Jin.

"Sure, for a couple of months."

"You two actually look good together," Misa sighed and then smiled.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Let me guess? How I know Dai?" Misa asked with a small smile on her face as Jin nodded.

"Dai’s sister is my childhood friend and actually my best friend still. She totally ignores all of this and treats me like always. Dai tutored me so I could graduate school since I never had time to study like I should. Not only that I’m Dai’s first fan, I love his writing. He promised the manuscript of his next book for meeting you. He has never parted with one the originals before so he really must like you. Although I’m a little surprised, I never thought he would date a guy and a blonde. I’ve really got to go, I hope to see you soon."

Jin watched her leave rather bemused by the whole experience as he waited for Dai to return. He wondered if Aso was right and Dai really liked him a lot. It was a rather appealing thought and he wondered how he could translate it into getting Dai’s clothes off. Yet the strikingly attractive woman’s off handed comment about Dai not dating blonds and men bothered him a bit since he was most assuredly both.

"You’re plotting something," Dai said, leaning against the doorway.

"Of course, I’m always plotting something- usually how to get your clothes off by the way. I’ve never done in it a board room," Jin retorted, arching a brow suggestively.

"You really have a one track mind," Dai said, shaking his head and walking over to Jin. "So how did you like your present?"

"It was rather unexpected and surprising. I had no idea you knew her, you never said anything," Jin said, once again pulling Dai to him as he sat on the edge of the table.

"I didn’t really think anything about it until Ayako mentioned Misa was going to do a photo book and asked me if I was going to pick it up when it came out. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to get your hopes up. I wasn’t sure she would be able to come, but she did have a meeting in this building so I was hopeing she would be able to get here. So how did it go?"

"Good, I won her over obviously, but you do realize that if I do land this job I’ll be even busier than before," Jin asked.

"Probably, but not forever right? And you’re in luck, I have a very flexible schedule to accommodate my high maintenance boyfriend," Dai answered wryly.

"Hey, I’m not high maintenance," Jin protested as Dai laughed at him.

Jin, unable to resist Dai’s laugh, grinned and leaned forward hoping to continue where they had left off before Misa had arrived. He was a little surprised when Dai didn’t pull away from him but leaned into his body as his hand stripped his bleach blonde hair of its tie, burying his hands in his long hair. He gasped at Dai’s almost fierce kiss, feeling his body on fire at the man’s unexpected ferocity. Jin leaned into the kiss, moving once again to the very edge of the table and wrapping his legs around his partner. His hands slid under Dai’s shirt sliding up the incredulity smooth skin desperate for things to continue. He had never in his life wanted someone as much as he had wanted Dai at that moment.

Hot lips moved down the side of his throat as Jin leaned his head back, exposing more of his tingling skin. His partner moved lower, leaving a trail of small marks on his neck marking his passage. Dai’s mouth explored Jin’s collarbone for a while as Jin buried his fingers into the soft shiny black hair gently encouraging the man to move even lower. Instead Dai came up and kissed Jin, some of the passion leaving him as the man’s kiss became more gentle.

Unable to even think about letting things end Jin clutched at Dai, determined to not let go of the man as he tried to call back the intense passion from the moment before. He could feel the heat between their bodies and Dai’s obvious arousal pressed against his spread legs, separated only by their clothing. He didn’t care where they were, he didn’t care if someone came in, all he wanted was to finally have Dai’s body inside of his.

"Hey Dai are you still here?" Came a questioning female voice as Jin groaned loudly frustrated.

"Oh, my! Don’t let me interrupt. Could I perhaps watch?" Asked the woman who was standing in the doorway and looking entirely to much like Dai to be anyone other than Ayako.

Jin glared over Dai’s shoulder at her pointedly as he felt Dai’s body tense for a moment next to his own. It was obvious that once again he had failed to secure the man’s body for he knew that the moment had passed.

"Ayako how long have you been watching?" Dai asked, not turning around to look at his sister, his face flushed.

"Um, since you undid his hair," Ayako said, pressing a finger to her lips thoughtfully. "I really thought about letting you two continue but I saw father on my way up, and I thought introducing Jin while you’re on your hands..."

"You’ve got to be kidding me?! Dai I’m..."

"Don’t worry about it," Dai said, shaking his head as Jin released him and he turned to his sister.

Jin stood up quickly all thought of sex disappearing at the thought of meeting Dai’s father. He wasn’t ready to do anything close to that, in fact he had no idea how to act at such a meeting since he had never met anyone’s parents before. Ayako was one thing but Dai’s father was another. It felt too much like a serious relationship, like a precursor to marriage and although that wasn’t possible for them it still had the same connotations in Jin’s mind.

"Jin? Wake up already, you don’t have to look so panicked," Dai said from next to his sister. Jin had been so preoccupied with his thoughts he hadn’t even noticed their conversation or Dai’s movement away from him.

"Dai I don’t want to meet your family, I..." Jin started only to see a gentle smile come to Dai’s face that made him stop as the man once again returned to his side.

"Don’t worry about it, my father already knows about you. I’m close to my family after all and have explained things to him. I already saw him while you where talking to Misa. He won’t be coming up despite the fact I know he is curious about you," Dai explained gently, his hand reaching out to push a stray lock of hair behind Jin’s ear and out of his face.

"Why? He doesn’t approve," Jin asked, confused.

"No, although he is a little worried. It’s because I know that you don’t want it yet. I understand and I’ve told my family they will have to wait until I bring you to them. Until you’re ready and I am," Dai said softly, the gentleness in his voice surprising Jin. It was as if the man was trying to comfort him.

"Oh, but that doesn’t include me!" Ayako said cheerfully from the doorway, reminding Jin that they weren’t alone. "I’m special, and I’m rather put out you didn’t tell me you had told father."

"Well, I have been busy," Dai answered, looking over his shoulder at his pouting sister.

"Yeah, I know, why do you think I came here? If I didn’t I probably wouldn’t have got to met him, although watching you make out was a bonus," Ayako smiled.

"My type of girl," Jin said with a grin, his panic receding at Dai’s words.

Dai groaned as they both laughed and Ayako winked at Jin through her giggles.
